I am traveling to Southeast Asia for 3.5 weeks and want to know where I can find cheap travel insurance. I currently do not have health care coverage and wanted to know if anyone knew of other alternatives or companies or ways to obtain cheap travel insurance for the duration of my trip. Thanks!

Hello is there a company that offers cancel anytime travel insurance even if you checked into a flight. A lot of companies only allow you to cancel your trip insurance only 2 days before the trip ….
My friends and I are going on a road trip for 5 weeks from San Francisco to New York and are thinking of buying a car for the duration that we’re there. Obviously we’ll need car insurance, however how would we go about it when we aren’t American nationals and don’t have an address there?
I have Master Cards- provides for Lost Luggage Reimbursement, Trip Cancellation, Worldwide Travel Accident & Baggage Delay Insurance.
I’m a resident in the USA and I want to travel to Europe, to apply for the visa i need to have medical health/travel insurance and i have to summit an official letter stating that the insurance will be valid for Europe, it has coverage of at least .000 and it has coverage for emergencies. I just called my health insurance company and they dont provide any of the things i need. Where can i get one that does? (I dont have so much time before the trip)
My Fiance and I just took a trip to Florida for a few months for his job. I am 24 weeks pregnant and I need to see an OB (I see one regularly in CA) but I have to fly all the way back to CA once a month and it’s expensive…is there anyway I can see an OB here in FL that will take my insurance? Like a travel based Medi-cal or something? I don’t want to re-apply for insurance every time we move out of state…it takes way too long and some docs won’t see me because I’m too far along (done it before)…Any information will help = ] Thanks in advance!
Actually since I am NOT married and pregnant and a low income TAX PAYER yes I qualify for medi-cal. My case worker knows that I am supported by my fiance and I still am eligible for medi-cal. I pay taxes, so does my fiance, therefore I am not living off tax payers…use your head. If it weren’t for my fiance traveling state to state for his GOVERNMENT job most of all your new building projects across the US wouldn’t happen. Have some respect. I’m just asking a simple question here people. I don’t live in two states and we are not paying for my plane tickets, my parents are helping us out. We pay taxes in BOTH states and I’m not looking to get benefits for free just because I can, it’s because I need them since I can’t stay a full time student hence why I lost my other medical insurance and had to apply for Medi-cal. Sheesh!
And can it be recommended for sleep syncope?
I’m uninsured at the moment and am just looking for insurance for my time in Costa Rica. Just looking for something basic in case of an emergency. Can I get it there, or do I get it here in the US? Help!
Thanks:)
And can it be recommended for sleep syncope?
Does anyone have the scoop on traveler’s insurance? I am taking a trip to Central America for three months and have been advised to get it. Any certain companies I should go through? Avoid? What should I expect to pay?
I am flying from Sweden to Melbourne via Frankfurt and Singapore without stopovers (Singapore air). Departing 20 July from Stockholm and arrival in Melbourne on 23rd July. What is the best single trip travel insurance for me to cover this period of travel(aussie , 34 years old)
I’ve been selected to represent the New Zealand by the National Astronomical Society at the International Year of Astronomy opening conference and ceremony in January 2009, which just happens to be in Paris….
Plane tickets, insurance and what not… it’s going to be a bit of money…
I’ve already planned to do a movie night fundraising event…
What are some other things I could do?
Thanks, your ideas much appreciated. ![]()
We are from Illinois and have planned a vacation in Destin for mid-May. Wondering what any local residents can tell us about how the oil spill is affecting the area right now and it’s anticipation in the next two weeks. I have read that a state of emergency has been declared for that area.
While we did have trip insurance, they company says since this is not an act of God, we are not allowed to cancel and expect a refund. They said to come down anyway since there is plenty else to do…well, I can do that here in Illinois without driving for two days and no beach…
This is not a good situtation for resident, tourism or marine life…
Love to hear from Northern Floridians regarding what’s currently happening… thanks!
Thank you so much!!! We appreciate your answer and email. I hope for everyone’s sake the wind causes it to take a turn away from the beaches!
Hello
I am planning to go abroad three times this year, and I wondered whether it is best/cheaper to get single insurance for each trip, or possibly an annual insurance to cover all three trips? I don’t know, these are the destinations:
Amsterdam – June ’10 (A day trip via sea travel).
Spain – July ’10 (A week – private accommodation – so only flight/baggage/medical insurance necessary I think).
New York – September ’10 (A four day trip, need insurance for everything).
I have no existing medical conditions and I am twenty, female and a UK resident (who will not be travelling alone to any of the destinations) if that makes any difference.
Thank you.

I’m planning a trip to greece this summer for 3 months (may 17-aug 15) — what type of health insurance do I need? I’m 27 and have no pre existing conditions.
I’m planning on leaving next month for a backpacking trip. I want it to last around 3 months, give or take a week. I’ve done some extensive research but would like some direct communication with locals/people who have done this before. I’m from Canada so my budget is in Canadian Dollars. I am planning on budgeting ,500 CDN for this trip (airfare, travel insurance is all seperate. Strictly for food and accomodations during trip). Do you think I can make it for 2.5-3 months on this type of a budget from the End of May-Aug? I’ve heard of others saying 1000 Baht a day is plenty, and I’ve also heard that the down season is much cheaper than the busy season. Are these figures correct? Do you have any other tips for me?
Thanks alot guys! I’m really looking forward to this
I don’t have a car insurance but i have planned to make a trip to Vancouver and take a rental car for a month do i need to get some insurance for this otherwise the rental agreement will be sufficient to drive the car.
Going away for 3 days to Eastern Europe from London. My friends are getting insurance (£6.25 for the trip), but I’ve never had it and never have needed it. Should I fall prey to the "what if…" and buy it?
When I take my puppy to the pet do I have to pay out of my own pocket or do I have some sort of pet insurance card that I give to the vet? Also, if I do have to submit a claim, when you go to the vet do you pay for the services right then or do you have them send the bill to your home? What pet insurance is the best for a puppy? Are there any pet insurance companies that will pay for the puppies dewclaws to be removed or tail docked? Is there anything else I should know about the vet and pet insurance that I haven’t asked?
I am not buying for a pet store!
I’m planning a trip from NJ to Mexico City and was curious about it.

I live in Thailand. So my medical coverage is 4,000 Thai baht/per day, for a private room and board. That is US. I need to increase my insurance, obviously – but I cannot find any Danish government/tourist/websites that provide any info. at all.
Thai bed and board insurance coverage – that should convert in to 0 (not – my mistake!). My Thai insurance DOES cover me internationally. It is just not enough. thanks.
Hi, i have a unique situation, my cousin is visiting me from London,UK. We are planning to go on a road trip here in United States ( Where i live). I was wondering if i can add hm for 10-12 days on my insurance. My current provider AAA said i can’t and they won’t even offer an extra policy to him. So i was wondering if there is a way i can add him and myself for 12 days or so. Would appreciate if you can tell me how and what companies do offer it.
