WWW.EXPEDIA.IM as an online travel agency that allow travelers to book online flights, hotel rooms, cars, vacation packages, trip insurance and more…..
I bought a plane ticket for late july for around 0 using Name your own price on priceline.com. However, things have come up where I will not be able to make this flight anymore. I bought the ticket travel insurance so I thought I would have no problem cancelling.. but I cannot find out how to cancel it so I can get my money back. I bought the ticket travel insurance so shouldn’t I be able to?
I’m planning to go to Hawaii for 4 to 6 days…so I look up some traveling sites about Hotel flight….but I’m not sure if the price showing on the screen is the total or I still have surcharge need to pay?? like fuel surcharge, airport tax and Military insurance tax …
oh!! by the way ..I’m leaving from TPE
We purchased a package to Cancun about a week ago. (We did not get travel insurance). Now were hearing about this swine flu all over the news, and I am really worried. I called Expedia, and they said that we will get our money back for the hotel if we decide to cancel, but there will be a 0 per person penalty for the flight. So were basically going to lose 0 if I cancel, or we can risk it and go. I am also 3.5 months pregnant, so I need to consider that as well. Are there any reports of the flu in Cancun? Our plane is also stopping in Texas…
I’m about to rent a car for one day travel for the first time ever but I have some questions.
1. They give me these options for insurance, but what’s the difference and what to they cover.
- Pre-Reserved Full Damage Waiver
- Supplemental Liability Insurance
Priceline.com offers ‘Collision Damage Insurance,’ but what is that and does it mean; that I don’t have to buy insurance from the renter?
2. Do I have to present anything i.e. I.D., existing car Insurance (I don’t have a car)
3. Do I have to Pay for gas?
4. Do I have to sign a contract?
We are supposed to go to the Virginia Beach / Richmond area Sunday thru Thursday for a fishing vacation and there is severe flooding throughout that area with water in the streets and the governor declared a state of emergency. Does travelocity or Ramada have to refund our money as this is something we have no control over? (No, my husband spend the extra money for travel insurance.)
I am planning a trip to Mexico and found a price with air at 2300, with insurance and transfers. my travel agent quoted me 2900 for the same package minus insurance… how well can i trust Travelocity to make sure my trip goes ok? I would buy insurance and my travel agent told me that they probably have room deals that she cant get…. but im nervous…anyone else plan a vacation in mexico or anywhere with them?
hi can "anyone" cancel a flight with expedia and get the voucher(credit for another flight, etc)or only who purchased the tickets with some kind of special insuranceor special extra amount of money?we may not travel in december and we need to know what to expect?tickets were not refundable(we wont ask the money back just another flight for the same people in the tickets)and we didn’t buy any insurance, neither paid any extra money for anything.
thank you.
My travel agent says the Prague govenment requires all tourists to have written documentation of medical insurance that is a minimum of million in coverage. Does anybody know if this is true? I can’t find any info online.
UPDATE TO QUESTION — Just to clarify for all, I am asking about the million minimum because it seems like an odd number requirement…I’m not asking so I can skip buying travel insurance…
i am not satisfied with online travel portals , they are too focused on domestic travel ,

thank you
i have purchased a travel insurance (Trip cancellation protection, travel/trip delay coverage, trip interruption protection, etc.) when i bought my ticket online. If ever i miss my connecting flight due to slow passport, security checkpoint, and/or too long transit desk for example, will the airlines help me out? are they going to book a hotel for me if it’s an overnight? my flight is from Norway-Brussels-NEWARK,NJ.1hr 10 mins layover. arrived at brussels at 9 am. Brussels airlines then Jet airways. Like always, thanks in advance! ![]()
I am heading over to asia for a month. I am booking online and see that there is an option to buy flight travel insurance protection for .00. I am curious if this only applies to any events related during the flight. If I am in the country for 2 weeks and get sick am I covered?
I recieved my replacement phone and activated it. Now I need to send my old phone back to them, Is there a form I should have gotten or one I need to get online so that they know it is my phone? I am not sure how they know who the phone belongs to if no paper work travels with it.
My husband is active duty Army. He’s a SGT. Currently, he’s deployed to Iraq. We’ve only been married about a year and a half. No children (thank God). My husband came back on R&R and slept with his ex wife (Caught him red handed). He refused to divorce me saying that he wanted to work things out. I told him that it was hard for me to forgive him or trust him over an e-mail since he lies to me every chance he gets anyways. On a tip, I searched myspace and found a profile online for him. It said he was married, but (Suprise, Suprise) it did NOT say that he was married to me. He claims to be married to another woman in a different state. They talk back and forth, openly, about their sex life, and they’re planning their wedding ceremony. I told him I knew about the page, and he still refuses to divorce me, and has now gone as far as cutting me off. He will not give me money to pay my rent. He’s making an extra 3,000 a month there in Iraq – not to mention just the BAH that’s MEANT to pay for rent, but he refuses to pay the rent for his HOME? I’ve been told that as long as he’s overseas I can not file for divorce if he refuses to give me one. Is that true? I live more than two hours away from the nearest military base, so traveling there is hard to do. Also, I called the Jag office to ask them, and they told me that they were only there to help the military member and they refused to help. So, that’s sort of out of the question. I do not have enough money for a lawyer (I’m too busy trying to work to pay rent, two car payments, two insurance payments, food, gas, electric, water, phone…..etc.). Can someone PLEASE help me????
P.S. Please excuse my spelling. I was going to use the spell checker, but it glitched on me…..
Making an excuse to stay? Due to the Soldiers and Sailors act of 1940 as well as the Civil Relief act, I CAN NOT PETION FOR DIVORCE. I’ve already discovered that. Do not patronize me, I don’t appreciate it. Do some research before you point fingers and pass judgment, much less offer advice. As long as an active duty member is overeseas, they can refuse to divorce their spouce. There is nothing the civilian can do about that. It’s law. Learn your facts before you try to tell me that I’m making excuses. And if I let "HIS" car payment go, it effects MY credit, as it’s in MY name. Yes, I’m trying to sell it, haven’t managed to yet. And since I own the car, I have to have insurance on it. Don’t you think I thought of that before I posted the question? I don’t have cable, or a cell phone, or long distance on my home phone. I have no frills. Nothing to cut off to pay the 500$ retainor fee for a lawyer. Or am I making an excuse for that as well? What a way to tick a woman off…
I’m going to be traveling to be staying at a Days Inn at my next trip. Because of some issues, a friend of mine will be paying for my hotel with her credit card. I’m going to be booking it online ahead of time so it’s going to be already paid so I don’t think they’d need it anymore except for insurance against damages I might incur during my stay. So when I check in, will they ask for my friend’s credit card or can I give them one of my own instead?
I’ve found myself unemployed way before our current recession. I worked crummy telemarketing jobs with really sleazy people. I worked really late hours, and weekends. I traveled 50 mile round trips to an office daily out of state. Drew unemployment benefits, and filled out hundreds of applications online and in person. I wore old clothes out-of-date. I wanted to keep a roof over my head, and not go to a shelter. I had no health insurance a lot of times, and went for care at the Health Dept. What crummy jobs did you take?
My question is are YOU willing to do these things if you have to? If you’ve never been in an unemployed situation before it bad news.
