Obamacare will become a single payer system as private insurance companies drop health insurance. The quality will be poor. There will be long waits for medical treatment. A lot of medicines and medical treatments will be denied. Because of this only those who have no choice will use it. There will be two other systems operating in this country. One will be a cash only system that operates in this country. Because the costs only the rich will be able to afford it. Then there will be a 3rd system that operates outside the United States. Because it will operate outside the United States, US laws will not apply. The means the insurance companies can sell insurance to just who they want do and deny those they don’t want do. Also it will be very hard if not impossible to sue for malpractice. Because of this the costs will be where middle Americans can afford it. This of course means these people will have to travel to this country for medical treatment. As part of their health insurance policy they will probably also have a medical evacuation policy.
A short description of Global Rescue’s services for travelers who visit remote regions of the world.
My husband was taken to a hospital 33 miles from emergency call by ground ambulance and charged 850.00. He was transferred by air 77 miles to Vegas by air ambulance for kidney stone. I am sure this was a case of fraud he was traveling and also on the job and insured, I am sure if he had no insurance he would have been treated and released like he was in Vegas. Kidney stones are com man and he had already traveled 33 miles he was not going to have a heart transplant. If so i would be happy to pay a million i smell a rat medical billing fraud not old news when it comes to air ambulance this should have been approved. He is also from Iran he would have never agreed to go if he was informed about cost. I am sure the hospital could have handled his diagnose. He was in area that had several options in nye county my Research show questionable fraud and will not pay remainder of bill for air ambulance to see insurance candy my husband was working he trains drivers for swift transportation, He was taken Advantage of and pays more than his share in taxes. He should not pick up the tab for ambulance to make a buck to recoup for uninsured patients that they had to medical evacuate. We are already paying a Fortune in insurance. This is discrimination.

Because residents were under a mandatory evacuation order, they may be able to recover their evacuation expenses under their homeowner’s policy, says attorney John Houghtaling, managing partner of Gauthier, Houghtaling and Williams. “Most homeowners policies offer coverage for evacuations from the home for up to 30 days if ordered by civil authority,” Houghtaling says. “Residents should look for the clause in their homeowner’s policy and keep receipts and records of what they have spent during their evacuation from Hurricane Gustav.” Your insurance deductible will apply first before any claims are paid, Houghtaling says.

I don’t think so. I think the rich should pay more. Why? Because the rich gets more from the government.
Consider defense, for example, which makes up 20% of the budget. Defending the country benefits everyone; but it benefits the rich more, because they have more to defend. It’s the same principle as insurance: if you have a bigger house or a fancier car, you pay more to insure it.
Investments in the nation’s infrastructure– transportation, education, research & development, energy, police subsidies, the courts, etc.– again are more useful the more you have. The interstates and airports benefit interstate commerce and people who can travel, not ghetto dwellers. Energy is used disproportionately by the rich and by industry.
As for public education, the better public schools are the ones attended by the moderately well off. The very well off ship their offspring off to private schools; but it is their companies that benefit from a well-educated public. (If you don’t think that’s a benefit, go start up an engineering firm, or even a factory, in El Salvador. Or Watts.)
The FDIC and the S&L bailout obviously most benefit investors and large depositors. A neat example: a smooth operator bought a failing S&L for 0 million, then received billion from the government to help resurrect it.
Beyond all this, the federal budget is top-heavy with corporate welfare. Counting tax breaks and expenditures, corporations and the rich snuffle up over 0 billion a year– compare that to the 00 budget, or the 6 billion spent on programs for the poor.

Everyone says that planes are a lot more safer than cars, im still skeptical about that, because that really depends on whos driving. I just read an article in yahoo that pilots are flying tired and so is its crew, so I started doing some research, one that cought my attention was this…
"When measured on a passenger-distance calculation, air travel is the safest form of transportation available: these figures are the ones mentioned by the air industry when quoting statistics on air safety. When compared against all other modes of transport on a fatality PER MILE basis air transport is the safest – six times safer than traveling by car and twice as safe as rail."[5]
However, when measured by fatalities PER PERSON transported, buses are the safest form of transportation and the number of air travel fatalities per person are surpassed ONLY by bicycles and motorcycles. This statistic is the one used by the insurance industry when calculating insurance rates for air travel.[6]
For every billion kilometers traveled, trains have a fatality rate 12 times larger than air travel, while automobiles have a fatality rate 62 times larger. On the other hand, for every billion journeys, buses are the safest form of transportation. By the last measure air transportation is three times more dangerous than car transportation and almost 30 times more dangerous than bus."

I’m going to St.Thomas in the USVI’s August 24th. The forecast shows that the two potential tropical depressions moving off of Africa are going to impact this region THAT week…HOPEFULLY..the hurricanes will miss that part..but just in general..IF a hurricane were to hit..how long is one place affected? How long does it take for it to pass the island? I’m just wondering that if I go and one does it..how many days will we be experiencing the storm? I went to the Bahamas in 07 during Hurricane Dean and didnt even get a drop of rain..I guess it was too far away. I can’t really find the answer to how long a hurricane impacts ONE specific place..only how long the actual duration of the storm is (8-12 days etc.)..anyone know? I didnt get trip insurance because I booked the vacation about a week ago…and it wasn’t offered, so please don’t suggest trip insurance!
I am a novice diver planning on going to Key Largo in mid October or early November to Key Largo with a friend who is an expert diver.
My question is: Would the weather permit for good scuba/snorkeling at that time, and would I be risking hurricanes?
If I go during that time should I get a trip/hotel cancellation insurance just in case if there is a major storm?
OK, so my husband and I have finally made a decision to TTC Baby #2….only problem is I have a trip to the Dominican Republic with my mom (girls trip) for October. It’s an all-inclusive trip (already paid for) with the sole purpose being for drinking. Well, obviously I hope to be preggers by then and I will not be drinking so I will need to cancel the trip. We did get trip insurance so we could cancel for any reason.
My question is – how should i tell my mom (i feel like I’m in high school again). I mean, I know she will be WAY MORE excited about the baby than the trip, but I’m wondering if I should wait until I’m pregnant and suprise her, or let her know we’re trying now.
What would you do?
I am not going to postpone trying to conceive, I want my children as cloe together as possible (starting now), so Ireally don’t wnt to wait another minute. AND – it is just me and my mom going on the trip, so I’m not going to have her drink alone, thats silly. Plus, I’ve already paid for my drinks (as part of the package).
I’m not going to do the trip, because even if I am not pregnant by then, I certainly don’t want to be slamming liquor all night
if Im trying.

I found a great package deal on priceline for 0 a person (40.00 total) and it includes round trip airfare from Albany, NY, A rental car and 9 nights at Stratosphere Tower hotel. I also added trip insurance and a 5 day Las Vegas Power Pass included in this price. Is this a good deal? Has anyone been to this hotel or used a power pass? Do you think this is a good 25th Bday present? And can you suggest any inexpensive dining and attractions. We have never been to Vegas before and we don’t drink. Thanks A bunch
We are scheduled to go to Disney September 16-26. I have already bought plane tickets and paid for the trip, but there is a problem.
Around 10 years ago I hurt my knee in basketball and ended up having a lateral release surgery on my knee. A year after this was done my knee locked up and I went in for emergency surgery to clear my joint of cartilage. It was then discovered that I no longer had an ACL in my knee and was scheduled for an ACL reconstructive surgery. A year or so after that my knee started dislocating again and when I went back to the doctor they said my ACL was tore again.
Now my knee is getting a lot worse and it went out on me the other day and now has begun locking up. After it went out a couple of weeks ago I can’t walk across the floor without it dislocating.
I have a doctors appointment for the 13 of July. Most likely I will have surgery before we go.
Here are my questions:
How long of a recovery time for the new ACL methods (the cadavar method as I can no longer have muscle harvested from my leg)?
I have to have the surgery done before we go. I can hardly walk without having shooting pains and dislcoations. If I get in for surgery in the middle to end of August do you think I could still go? We have trip insurance so I can always get my money back.
Thanks for any help or advice!
I booked flights through delta.com for November. Our trip insurance says that in the event of a bakruptcy where they discontinue flights it will not cover the loss. Is this a big possibility for happening?
