im 20years old and im pregnant and ive been traveling and i have medicaid but its only good in texas cause all the places here in NJ don’t accept it and im 5 months pregnant and i really need to go to the doctors and i cant find a place that will take medicaid..does anybody have any suggestions on what to do? i applied for nj family care but i cant wait that long till i get it
what that person said above is correct. they can’t deny you service just because you have no insurance. you will get a huge bill, but idk how it is down there. but here, when you apply for ma or family care, they can also back track up to 3 months with previous bills. so say you don’t get ma/family care till later i believe you can request they pay your previous medical bills of your first appointment. so long as it is within the previous 3 months. but i’d say meet with a social worker and ask them. If you have a passport cross the Cdn border and go to a clinic in Canada…. there are web sites out there that tell u how to do this not really legal… but you gotta do what you gotta do…
