Basically I am planning a road trip, and i want to know – how long after i pass can i be insured under my mums car, and recieve my license so that i can start my driving asap?

Once I pass my practical driving test, how long does it take to get insurance etc?

Once you have passed your test and have your license, mom should immediately add you to the insurance.
As to how long before you actually have license in hand, no idea because you didn’t say where you are. In some states they take your picture and hand you the license when you pass, in others they mail it.
most insurance companies want you to be listed as a driver with in 30 days of getting your license.
