I am going to be an upcoming senior. I have wanted a baby for a while now, and me and my boyfriend have talked about it and we think we can be ready. he is getting a job in august that is going to give him full benefits, like medical and all that jazz, if he gets married. and we think we want a baby, of course we are taking a week while he is on his cruise to clearly think this over that way we arent there to influence each other, but i think i really want it, but i want to wait until like november or decemeber, bcuz its my senior year of colorguard and I want to enjoy it bcuz i have decided when i go to college i wont do it. but then december 24 i turn 18, and ill be on my own insurance wise, and im asking basically how that would work, like if i got insurance what exactly does that cover and not cover. Then i was thinking I want to go to prom, and graduate so I was thinking maybe try after prom or graduation night, prom night is like a month after graduation and it wouldnt be a huge
deal, i just kinda wanna know if what i am doing is smart. alot of people will say no that i should go on to college, but i want a baby and i am willing to wait til i at least graduate high school. plus with all the college crap down here with rapes and killings i kinda wanna do it online anyway. so is this really smart? and exactly how would the insurance work? and ill ask more questions as i think of them bcuz its hard to think of what exactly im trying to say in question form so i am just thinking of how to say it in alot form.

wow alot of you all are more supportive then i thought. i like this. but yeah i know i keep putting it off and saying i wanna wait til this and that but i know for sure after colorguard, and i wanna walk the stage, and kinda wanna go to prom, i wouldnt die if i didnt. its not really my thing. but i know i will be in school for 10 years and i will be 28 by the time i get out, and i wanna have a baby before then bcuz i wanna be on baby 2 by 30. idk and i realize it wont be about me n him anymore and i realize this but i dont know if he does, after he gets back i am going to like make him sit and talk to me about this if we decide to do this. bcuz he is 19 and i am 17, so really idk i feel like im giving up more but i realize he would be giving up just as much. but if we got married then we would be supported medical wise which would help alot.
hes gonna make like 12 an hour. and they get raises out the butt. its a really good paying job. and ironically enough its a electrician job, but i think its alot of money that hes making bcuz its gonna be at y12,if yall had us history, youll know what that is. but yeah. and we are gonna take more then a week but like have at least a week to ourselves to think bcuz he has to be with me all the time so i was like think while your gone. and i know i could ultimately do this on my own if he left for some reason, but i highly highly doubt he will leave me.
and my parents got college covered. and if they dont then i can prolly try to get one off colorguard, ive kinda thought about that too but then id have to do it in college. lol its complicated there too.
i do love him, and i was thinking while making dinner, maybe wait. my first year of college, and see what happens, you know like if i even like what i wanna be, and maybe i will find out i can handle both the college and baby.

I have been riding offroad and trials since i was 5 years old and have just started the move up to road bikes. I have been riding on a vintage 250 (My father is a colector and there is no insurance premium for L’s on a collector plate) to learn and so far so good. I have yet to bring her onto the highway as the bike wouldnt be too happy if I went any faster then 30-40mp/h.
I would be using the bike for general tasks like the odd commute to school when I’m climbing afterschool or for errands. I live in a very out of the way community and I have to travel an hour and a half on the highway to get to the real "town" so im wondering if the bike will have enough power at these speeds. I dont do this often, say onece or twice a month depending on the time of year, sometimes twice a week in the summer.
Will a 250 have enough power for me to cruise comfortably on the highway or would it be a wiser choice for me to move up to a 500, 600 or 650 to get that extra zip to get me out of a problem if need be.
Insurance was quoted at ~650$ for 110-400cc’s and ~1250$ for 400-750cc’s (ICBC, Im from BC gotta love them!) as I have an L and will have 0 discount level.
I weigh 110 (Im skinny) and im 5.11.
I know Road and Trail are very, very different but clutch management, balance and a general feal of the bike are gained after a few good years ofroad. As i mentioned above I have put down a solid 70-80 hours on a 1967 Puch 250 (On the road) and have found it quite easy so far. I havent gone any faster then 40mph as it starts to get unhappy at these speeds.
I live near Whistler/Vancouver, place called Squamish.
The Puch is quite heavy, comparable to a modern 500cc bike as its full steel and as solid as rock.
Its also a little interesting learning to ride and having to worry about varying your fuel mixture and sometimes air intake if its not happy. This adds some confusion at the start but ive passed this now and im very comfortable tickling the carb, kickstarting it and a few of the choke options. Slowly getting used to fuel mixtures but i wont have to worry about that onece i move up to a newer bike!
Now I heard about the Republican plan, and I like it because 30 million people in American are uninsured. So calculating the numbers
12-20 million are illegal aliens – who have no right to be here.
That leaves us with 8-18 million Americans who really don’t have health insurance, out of that which ones are college and young adults who chose not to have health insurance because they want a new car, a new tv around 8-10 million young kids, now then we are left with 8 million people who need health care now some of these are older people who don’t want them because they want to go on a cruise or buy a house at the beach but are still young to qualify for Medicaid/Medicare but will do so in a few years so they don’t want it. 5 million, and that leaves us with the 3 million Americans that really need health care.
So all in all, the Republicans plan will cover those Americans choosing to have health care, not the ones that don’t want it to be forced on them, which is the pinnacle of American society and freedom.

Tort reform
No denying preexisting conditions
Tax credits to those that buy insurance on their own. and many more
We don’t fight but we don’t have the same goals. I want to go cruising (buy a boat and sail to the Caribbean) she wants to sit still and visit with family. We only have one child, actually it is her son but I have helped raise him for about 20 years. We have been married for 14 years and did cruise for 2 years.
I used to feel dependent on her for things like health insurance (we had it from her old employer) and extra income but she hasn’t worked much in the last 6 months. Part of the income thing is that I am a yacht broker and am paid strictly on commission. If I don’t sell a boat I earn nothing and although it isn’t likely one salesman here just went six months without selling anything.
She just came back home after spending six weeks visiting her family and while she was gone I did some hard thinking. My feelings for her have diminished as she has no goals and can’t even decide what she wants to be when she grows up (she is 50.) I know where I want my life to go and I don’t think I can get there with her. The biggest questions are how to breakup and divorce her without hurting her terribly.

Keep in mind that I do earn a good living and have earned significantly more than her for our entire marriage. I was an engineer and I provided most of the income and the insurance for her and her son. After cruising I am the one that has made almost all of the money and I have been paying for the insurance for the last two years! I have helped support her son and grandson. I do care about her but I don’t want to be sitting here five years from now saying why didn’t I go.
I know that cruising by myself may not be the best but there are women out there that want to go and I think I can find one. I only need one.
Scenario: He was pulled out of a fast food place towards a light, he saw a gap between 2 oncoming vehicles in the crazy traffic. As the first car was passing him, he began to pull out behind him. The car, which was going a decent speed towards the light, then decided to cruise into (without slowing down) the same parking lot my fiance was exiting, with no turn signal. My fiance ended up hitting his rear tire. He got out to make sure everyone was alright, they were. The man sustained a small dent and a little paint damage which he said he wasn’t worried about, but his tire was bent in a little. He said that was all he cared about. He was mechanically inclined and would do the work at home if it was something simple. It turned out to be less than 0 in parts and my fiance was going to pay for them as they had agreed.
I had my fiance call the police so this guy couldn’t exaggerate everything and to show that he wasn’t at fault. The cop said my fiance was at fault since he hit this man.
Well, they were supposed to meet so my fiance could pay him, he just wants it over, and the guy calls today and says he is going to file a claim through the insurance.
Here is the issue: We are house sitting for my mother for a year and he was driving her vehicle, with her insurance. He wasn’t covered. This guy would have to sue her insurance to settle and once my mother gets wind of this, well, let’s just say we are going to be moving somewhere else, and we have 3 kids and basically no money. A few thousand, but not enough to uproot right now. We would have to get another vehicle and 3 months rent ect together.
Point is, this accident was NOT his fault, but since it’s hard to prove the other guy was driving aimlessly with no signaling, it’s hard to prove. What can we do?
We had no choice but to call the police. My fiance was not at fault and, yes, they had an "agreement" just as they had yesterday evening and now the guy is going to go through the insurance anyways. He would have done the same except there wouldn’t be any documentation at the time. The thing that screwed it all up was that my fiance first explained it to me as that the other guy pulled out in front of him. He didn’t fully elaborate. Plus, he didn’t know at the time the other guy was a marine… so the cop would favor him, obviously.
He didn’t hit the guy from just pulling out on him, he was turned left across a two lane road. He pulled into the first lane, about to pull into the other behind the guy and he just cruised into the parking lot with no signal and no braking. More or less, he side swiped the front end of the van. He even turned too early for the entrance.
He isn’t covered on my mother’s insurance. Only she is. It will raise her rates and force her to add him to her policy. Even though he won’t be driving the van. He is/was about to get his transmission repaired so he could drive his vehicle.
Oh, and the light was red. He was clear across the first lane to get over. The other guy was traveling towards the light with no way to see that he was turning, at a decent speed, hadn’t even brake coming towards the light yet. My fiance went to pull out BEHIND him and he swerved into the parking lot with no signal or braking. How was he supposed to know he would turn?
My fiancee and I have been together for 4 1/2 years. We have just recently got engaged and are looking to set a wedding date. We had both agreed on September of 2011. We have just started thinking about December of 2010.
The problem is that we are both still in college and his parents help him a lot (rent, car insurance, health insurance, etc.) He does work part time to have spending money and such. I, on the other hand, am fully independent, have a full time job, live on my own (own health insurance etc.) I also go to school full time.
The reason we wanted to wait until September of 2011 is because he will be finished with school and hopefully have a good job. But, we may have to move as soon as he gets out of school. I couldn’t imagine planning a wedding in one state while living somewhere else. Then having to commute back and forth when vendors need to be checked out and picked, etc. We also have a cruise booked for December of 2010. So if we got married before we left for the cruise, we could use that as our honeymoon and not have to pay for one the following year. He would only have a semester left for school if we could married in December.
He is worried about if it would be hard for the one semester. He wouldn’t want his parents help (nor do I think they would give it) if we were married and we certainly can’t afford my bills and his bills if he’s only working part time. I would have to add him to my health insurance not to mention car insurance, etc.
I know this is long but please give your opinion!!
So here’s the question. I have been traveling for a few years now, but I always come back to work in Alaska in the summer. I have the opportunity to go on a cruise to Asia and then I was thinking of heading down to Australia and hanging out there for the winter. My other option is to stay in Alaska, or any other city i chose, and get an apartment and a job. The advantage to the latter is stability – a home, job, insurance etc. So I really don’t know which one to chose!
I am not sure if this will be a salvaged vehicle or not. My friends and I want to cruise around in a total wreck of a vehicle for fun, but realize we have to have insurance. I don’t want the car covered, I just want whatever is required by law. What is the best way to do this?

I have a booked vacation package in mid-September. The details are as follow: 2 adults and 1 child, 3-days DisneyWorld Resort and 4-days Bahamian Cruise, and we’re flying in from Los Angeles to Florida.
We will be staying at the Dolphin/Swan resort for the land portion for 3 nights, along with all-day Disney Park-Hopper tickets. Then sail off to the Bahamas inside the Disney Wonder in a Category 6 Deluxe Stateroom.

The bf and I want to take a 3 day cruise to Mexico in December. I found a deal a main upper deck ocean view cabin for 0 total including taxes.
Is this a good deal? And if so, should I book it now or will there be better deals very last minute?
I also have a few other questions: Does deck level matter? Does oceanview or inner cabin make a difference since you’re barely in your room? Do I have to pay the total upfront? If so, what’s the refund policy and how much is insurance?

Is it necessary? Who has really used it? I declined on my last cruise. Planning Cruise 2 now and I feel like I’m being pressured into taking it.

It has a 2.0L engine, and every conceivable option I can think of except turbo. It has heated leather seats, mirrors, washer solvent, sunroof, power everything, cruise, yada-yada.

My husband has been diagnosed with lung cancer. He has been given between 3 months and one year to live.
We thought we would go for a short cruise in the Med but the only company who will insure us wants between £1800 and £2000 for a week’s insurance.

We are booked for a cruise Oct. 19th with Carnival Imagination. Oct is fairly late into hurricane season. I have been researching and the forecast is a lower than usual amount of hurricanes this season. YIPPEE! We did not bother to purchase travel insurance. (We think it is pointless) But what happens if there is a hurricane while on the ship?
If turning 18 legally makes you an adult why is it that all I've gotten out of this is no health insurance and a sh*t load of bills but can't rent a car or go on a cruise un-accompanied?

I think of Bourne when he's breaking out of the embassy, or even more spectacular, Stallone in that mountain climbing movie or Cruise in that rockclimbing scene in one of the MI movies….how do they do that? Do they really expose actors to those dangerous heights? That doesn't seem financially smart, but there's always insurance I guess, or is there always some sort of "safety net" and, if so, what kind of net?
Cruise, cargo, tankers? Showing what port they were in, what port they are going to? I think insurance companies and owners of the contents would need to know that.
My friend and I have been planning to take a cruise for the first week of April 2009 since about August 2008.
We were planning to go with her mom and her step dad. A couple of months ago my friend's mom asked me for all my information that she needed. Name, DOB, etc.
She also got insurance on mine because my parents don't like my friend's parents and she was worried they wouldn't let me go at the last minute.
So it ends up they were totally fine with it and it wouldn't have mattered anyways because I'll be turning 18 soon and they couldn't have stopped me.
The problem is that yesterday my supposed friend said she doesn't want me to go anymore.
I'm just wondering if someone else is going with her instead of me and if that's even possible.
The cruise leaves March 29 so can she do that?
And no, her parents aren't paying for it.
I haven't paid her yet, thankfully, but I was supposed to right before we left.
