We are taking a cruise next month. Since cruise-ship tours are so expensive, its been suggested that we rent a jeep — with full insurance coverage — and tour around the island ourselves. With all the drug wars, kidnappings and such that one hears about in Mexico, I wonder how safe it is for us to be in Cozumel on our own.
