I’m planning a family holiday to Singapore in Nov 2007. My family is comprised of me, my wife and my 4 yr old kid. I reside in India and will be there in Singapore for 5-7 days. How much money should I keep safe for this trip? Including tickets, visa, insurance, hotel rents (economy but good), transportation in Singapore?

What is the cost of living in Hungary?

Family Travel Insurance | Posted by admin
Feb 27 2010

My husband and I are going to move to Hungary where most of my immediate family lives. We will have a house paid for. To give a worst case scenario of neither of us working in Hungary or earning any income…

1.How much money would you say would be enough?
2. Earning what interest rate?
3. To give a monthly yield of how much?

… would be enough to pay for only the necessities of life: food, transportation, utilties, car insurance and necessary supplies of daily living?

Do not include travel and gifts and anything absolutely "unnecessary". Assume a family of 4 including 2 small children is being supported.

If you live around Szeged, I am especially interested in your answer.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance | Posted by admin
Feb 06 2010

I’m going on a three day trip with my school. We are visiting Universal, Islands of Adventure and Wet n’ wild and are also going to see the blue man group. We payed an initial price of about 500 dollars which included the hotel and the tickets for everything, the insurance, and breakfast, and dinner one night. I have to pay for every meal at the park and any snacks, drinks, or souvenirs i may buy. How much money do you think i would need to take?

moving to london!! heeelllp!!

Nov 14 2009

I’m in the early stages of planning a move to London which will hopefully happen after the new year but I’m not really sure where to start. So I have ALOT of questions. I’ve bumbered them so its easier for everyone haha.

Ive got the obvious applications, Visa and Passport. I’ve acquired the right forms – first time passport and ancestry visa.
1) How soon should I lodge those?
I know you have to apply for a passport before you can apply for the Visa so obviously I would do that first.
2) Do I need to have passport photos taken before I lodge the applications?

3) How do I go about finding a rental property? Is it even possible for me to rent in the UK?
4) Is it possible to find fully or partly furnished places?
5) Which are the bad areas on London? (Im 20 years old – Moving out of home, have lived with friends before but never alone).
6) How do I go about looking for a job?
7) How do I apply for a National Insurance Number?
8) How much money do you think I should save before I move to London?
9) Is London and expensive city to live in?
10) Will I need travel insurance if I’m going to live over there or is travel insurance only for holidays?
11) Should I get any sort of medical insurance before I go?

Sorry, I know thats alot but its all so confusing.
Incase theres anything Ive missed…
12) is there anything else you would like to add or you think I should know?

Also, I should add. Ive mentioned before. Im 20 years old. From Australia. Currently living at home, taking time off my University Course (Nursing). Im basically wanting to go to London for a while as Im not sure where I want to go with my life and basically Im just looking at it as an adventure. I think Im at a time at my life where I need to go out and be independant. You should also know that Im not afraid of failing so dont be kind with your comments because I know moving overseas is going to be hard!

Sorry for a long post. Thanks in advance!

Ps. I just thought of something else!

13) What do I do with bank accounts? Can I keep my Australian accounts and open ones in London or do I need to transfer my current ones?

Do I apply for long-stay or short-stay Visa?

Jun 17 2009

411: My German Citizen husband and my US Citizen self want to move to France:

Any answers you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

1. Do I apply for long-stay or short stay Visa (before Carte de Sejour)?

2. Do I need to cover my own medical insurance only during the duration of my initial Visa?

3. When would I receive French medical?

4. If my husband has a job, would the French Embassy count that as mine as well?

5. If not, roughly how much money does the French Embassy require me to have?

6.If my husband was born in Germany, does that mean he has a European residency permit (even though he now lives in the United States)?

my mum just called me from her 1st days holiday in barcelona to tell me her bag got stolen…?

Holiday Travel Insurance | Posted by admin
May 20 2009

2 old ladies tricked her by taking her attention away from the bag while another stole it. They stole her phone (which i’ve called her network and put a barr on it) and also stole a lot of money, her purse, her make up, and other pesonal things. I feel so sorry for her. She has travel insurance, does that mean she can claim it back? and how are they to know how much money was ACTUALLY stolen? because theres no proof. I’ve advised her to go and report it to a police station. Has anyone any more advise? I feel so helpless.
