My Fiance and I just took a trip to Florida for a few months for his job. I am 24 weeks pregnant and I need to see an OB (I see one regularly in CA) but I have to fly all the way back to CA once a month and it’s expensive…is there anyway I can see an OB here in FL that will take my insurance? Like a travel based Medi-cal or something? I don’t want to re-apply for insurance every time we move out of state…it takes way too long and some docs won’t see me because I’m too far along (done it before)…Any information will help = ] Thanks in advance!
Actually since I am NOT married and pregnant and a low income TAX PAYER yes I qualify for medi-cal. My case worker knows that I am supported by my fiance and I still am eligible for medi-cal. I pay taxes, so does my fiance, therefore I am not living off tax payers…use your head. If it weren’t for my fiance traveling state to state for his GOVERNMENT job most of all your new building projects across the US wouldn’t happen. Have some respect. I’m just asking a simple question here people. I don’t live in two states and we are not paying for my plane tickets, my parents are helping us out. We pay taxes in BOTH states and I’m not looking to get benefits for free just because I can, it’s because I need them since I can’t stay a full time student hence why I lost my other medical insurance and had to apply for Medi-cal. Sheesh!
I’ve been selected to represent the New Zealand by the National Astronomical Society at the International Year of Astronomy opening conference and ceremony in January 2009, which just happens to be in Paris….
Plane tickets, insurance and what not… it’s going to be a bit of money…
I’ve already planned to do a movie night fundraising event…
What are some other things I could do?
Thanks, your ideas much appreciated. ![]()
I am buying plane tickets to costa rica and nicaragua through cheaptickets.com. When entering my information, I am given the option to add Ticket Protector Plus through Access America for an additional .43. It looks like some sort of insurance program. Does anyone know anything about this service?
I can’t tell if this is an alternative to other travel health insurance that would normally cost 0 to 0.
Here is a link to the terms and conditions:

I’m a high school junior at the moment. next year I’m planning to spend my first semester studying abroad in Japan. I’m hopping to attend OGSHS (Osaka Girl’s Senior High School) in Osaka Japan. I need help finding ways to raise money for the tuition and expenses for while I’m there (plane tickets, travel cost while there, food, health insurance, visa/passport. you get the point)
Please, if anyone has and helpful information I would very much need it.
We are scheduled to go to Disney September 16-26. I have already bought plane tickets and paid for the trip, but there is a problem.
Around 10 years ago I hurt my knee in basketball and ended up having a lateral release surgery on my knee. A year after this was done my knee locked up and I went in for emergency surgery to clear my joint of cartilage. It was then discovered that I no longer had an ACL in my knee and was scheduled for an ACL reconstructive surgery. A year or so after that my knee started dislocating again and when I went back to the doctor they said my ACL was tore again.
Now my knee is getting a lot worse and it went out on me the other day and now has begun locking up. After it went out a couple of weeks ago I can’t walk across the floor without it dislocating.
I have a doctors appointment for the 13 of July. Most likely I will have surgery before we go.
Here are my questions:
How long of a recovery time for the new ACL methods (the cadavar method as I can no longer have muscle harvested from my leg)?
I have to have the surgery done before we go. I can hardly walk without having shooting pains and dislcoations. If I get in for surgery in the middle to end of August do you think I could still go? We have trip insurance so I can always get my money back.
Thanks for any help or advice!
Hello, I'm trying to purchase a plane ticket that I might have to cancel in the future. Does anyone have any advice on purchasing plane tickets that I might need to cancel? What are my options? Could purchasing travel insurance from a 3rd party guarantee me a refund if I need to cancel?
Also, I've heard some airline companies such as US Airways, allow you to cancel your trip and with a fee, use the remaining balance towards a future flight. Does anyone know if at the time of cancellation one has to immediately book the future date, or can you call back at another time, say several months later, and use your remaining balance as credit for a flight when you are certain about the date? Thank you!
